McDonalds Roof Painting

What does a roof restoration cost?

We price every roof after we've been on it. Here is what we're actually looking at when we work out the number.

Why is there no price list on this page?

Because a roof restoration price depends on the roof, and any number published without seeing yours would be a guess dressed up as a quote. Two houses on the same street can differ by thousands depending on how much of the ridge needs rebedding.

We would rather tell you that than put a tempting figure up and then explain on your driveway why yours is more. If you want a real number, get in touch and we'll come out and quote it. The quote is free.

Do you charge for the quote?

No. The measure and quote are free, and there's no deposit to pay if you go ahead. You pay when the job is finished.

Is a restoration cheaper than a new roof?

Almost always, by a wide margin. A restoration reuses the roof you have, so you're paying for cleaning, repairs, bedding, pointing and coating rather than for removal, disposal and a whole new roof.

It isn't always the right answer though. If the tiles themselves have gone porous through, or the structure has moved, coating it's money spent on a roof that will still need replacing. We'll tell you which one you have, and there is more on the questions behind that if you want to read up before we come out.

The eight things that move the price

Cutaway of a tile roof ridge with the capping lifted on one section, showing the fresh mortar bed underneath and the old crumbled pointing removed
Rebedding means the capping comes off and goes back down on fresh mortar. Repointing is only the joint along the edge. On a quote they can look like the same line item.
