A Numurkah roof, repainted instead of replaced
The owner was thinking about a new roof. The steel underneath was fine. It needed a proper coat of paint.

Someone had painted this roof before, with poor quality paint, and the work wasn't done well. By the time we saw it, it had gone chalky and streaky, and the owner was thinking about putting on a new roof.
There was nothing wrong with the steel. What it needed was a proper coat of roofing paint, so that's what it got, in a light grey. Painting the roof came to $5,200. Replacing it would have been just over $30,000.
We painted the fascias, gutters and garage door while we were there, which the $5,200 doesn't include.
