A single cracked tile is a slow leak that won't show up on your ceiling for months. By the time it does, the batten under it has usually been wet for a long while.
The hard part is matching. Houses around here run through a lot of profiles, terracotta and concrete, some of them long out of production. We keep old stock on hand for exactly this, so a repair blends in rather than announcing itself in a different shade.
If the roof is being coated afterwards it disappears completely, because the whole thing ends up the same colour anyway.

Can you match a discontinued tile?
Usually. We keep old profiles on hand for this reason. If we genuinely can't match a profile we'll tell you and we'll look at the options rather than putting something obviously wrong up there.
Someone walked on our roof and cracked tiles. Is that covered?
That's a question for your insurer, not for us. What we can do is come and look at it and give you a quote to pass on to them.
How urgent is one broken tile?
More urgent than it looks. Water gets into the batten and the ceiling long before you see a stain. It's a small job now and a much bigger one later.
