Colours
What colour will yours be?
These are the shades we get asked for most around here, and what each one tends to suit.
- Real chips brought to the house at the measure
- Seen on local roofs, not just a swatch
- Gutters, fascia and downpipes matched if you want
A screen can only get you so close. Every monitor renders colour differently, and a roof colour behaves differently again once it is on a whole roof in full sun rather than on a chip in your hand.
So treat this page as a shortlist rather than a decision. We bring the real chips to the measure and hold them against your bricks, in your light, on the day.
The ones we get asked for
Cottage Green
Right on weatherboards, cream brick and anything with a verandah.
Monument
The current favourite on brick homes. Bethanga is in this.
Surfmist
Pale and cool. Keeps a tile roof lighter through summer.
Woodland Grey
Sits well with a bit of warmth in the brick.
Pale Eucalypt
Gum leaf green, farmhouses and anything under trees.
Manor Red
The old homestead red, done properly.
Shale Grey
Light grey, reads almost silver in the sun.
Classic Cream
Warm cream for heritage houses and rendered walls.
Paperbark
Soft and sandy. Disappears against a cream brick house.
Evening Haze
Pale putty. A safe pick when the walls are already busy.
Basalt
Mid charcoal with a blue lean. Newer estates go this way.
Ironstone
Dark blue grey. Sharp against white window frames.
Night Sky
The darkest in the range. Modern houses, flat rooflines.

A darker roof or a lighter one?
A pale roof like Surfmist reflects more heat and keeps a tile roof cooler through summer, which matters more here than it does closer to the coast. A dark roof like Monument looks sharper against brick and hides dirt for longer between cleans.
Neither is wrong. It is worth knowing which trade you are making rather than picking from a screen and finding out afterwards.
